Lots of rules here... I just drive my '35 coupe with old '35 plates on it. The "new" plates are under the seat.

As others said Florida is easy, no inspection,no limit on driving,and its cheaper to get antique tags. I might offend some people but I don't think anything after the 50s should have antique tags. But the mid 80s come on maybe a "junk" tag. Although so few of those pieces of junk survived they are kind of rare.
