Default 1932 Floor Mat.... Black?

I recently found an old 1932 floormat in black. I understood that they were only ever available in Taupe. It says "NO 4 UNIVERSAL MAT 91"
It has the jute backing on it as well. I am assuming that it was an early reproduction. Has anybody else seen one like this?

I would be skeptical if anything being an original that has the word "UNIVERSAL" cast, stamped or printed on it.
