Another trick is take a cast iron Zenith carb, remove the brass fuel filter, replace it with a bolt that will screw in about 2 inches long. Then put your ferrule on the end of the line and snug the fuel line down good. It will seat that ferrule the proper distance from the end of the fuel line.

Take the bolt out take your fuel line out of the Zenith, install it on your Tillotson you should be good

Certainly looks like an original drawing, but I wasn’t aware that Loctite was available in 1930’s? I think the company started in the 1950’s.

I also think that superglue (cyanoacrylate) is a relatively recent invention.

That illustration shows the B part numbers. The A9243 was used from the model A era through 1948 and likely longer.
