I was recently the subject of a parts for sale scam and wanted to alert others to what you can expect. I posted the need for a muffler and one respondant said " contact me at this email address". so I did (my first mistake).. he showed a photo of the muffler and quoted a price of $500 (What?) I said no and he said 200 and I said no and he said 100.. Weird.. then he said payment by Zelle and with that I knew something was wrong as that system seems to be the one most used by scammers.. So, I played the game out.. I asked for more photos and dimensions... the reply.. sorry it in a storage facility.. Said I would wait... then the conversation ended..
so, I am aware that there have been similar issues noted in the past. So, just be cautious. |

those are not car parts guys.............. If you placed an ad for posi-traction floor mats, they'd tell you they had them. So, not car guys. Just dishonest people. |
