Default Distributer-points are at 12:00

My friend got an A and the points are at 12:00 . My car's points are at 1-2:00.
What it right??

Do both cars have the same points or is one original and the other modern? Did one have the spark lever advanced and the other retarded when you looked at them?

I have the condenser on my plate. His is in the dis. body. Both advanced. I am going there with parts and more time, soon.

You have pretty much answered the question. One of you has the original set up condenser within the distributor body and the other person has a modern plate. Both of adjusted properly will let the car run just fine.
