Question Factory Sealed original Misc Ford paperwork**

Hey Fellas

Thank you for allowing me into the group first off.

Anyways my name is Joey

Recently,
I purchased a 1940s Snap on toolbox (3 piece)

That was packed full of old Ford service bulletins (Some still factory wrapped) catalogs, Diagnostic binders with hundreds still glued, etc.

I am reaching out to see if anyone has any interest in this type of stuff? I will attach some photos that I have now (I have WAY more to photograph) and can post those later this evening when I get home from work.

TIA, LOCATED in Barnhart Missouri 63012

Joey,

I have absolutely no answer regarding your question, BUT:

Back in the very early 1970's I had a college friend who hailed from the STL area. His last name is Barnhart. On the living room wall of his apartment was hanging a city limits sign from Barnhart. He had purloined it during his high school days. I imagine that any statute of limitations has long since passed for that escapade.

Anyway, you've just joined the largest and most complete pool of information regarding old Fords on the planet. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for opening the barn door. Welcome to Fordbarn. The 312 may refer to the 312 cu. in. engine.

19Fordy, you’re pretty sharp to have figured that one out!

Are any of these potentially worth while or much of anything?

I am sure there is some interest. The service bulletins shown are updates and informative bulletins on new parts and pieces on the newer vehicles. These types of bulletins started in 1938 and continued through 48.

Not much value sadly. They are pages that were intended to be installed within a three-ring binder "Service manual". As these pages were sent to all dealers, the complete manuals are fairly common. There was a time a complete manual would fetch $150. Now? You'd be lucky to fetch half that for a complete manual. Pages loose from the binder? Much less.

What about a Snap on catalog from the 40s?

Guys do collect Snap On (vintage). That may do better than the Ford service pages

The Snap On catalogue would do better on garagejournal.com - a sister site to the fordbarn.

...and/or the H.A.M.B.

All three are Atomic Industry sites so if you got on here you'll have no trouble getting on the other boards.

While it is true that several dozen of us hang out on all three boards there are many thousands who frequent only one of them. You'll be reaching a much larger audience if you use all three boards.
