I did a search as KiWi US suggested below and realize this has been flogged to death before. Thank you. I had no intention of buying one but was just curious why some folks love them and others cannot get them to work properly.

I would never spend my money on any of the electronic options available today, i rebuild distributors and have had quite a few frustrated people contacting me about problems with the E-fire especially, they all end up with a proper points distributor and had never had any of them returned.

FWIW. my '35 Fordor has one, it was on it when I bought the car 3+ years ago. I was a little leery of it, but it works flawlessly.

My E-fire has worked flawlessly on my newly built project (750 miles on the odometer) with a flathead running on 12v system. I will say all wiring is new too. I guess time will tell.
And on a side note: I see H&H flatheads uses a bunch of the E-fires on their builds. At least from the Facebook shorts of Mike firing up one. That’s all I’ve seen |

Love my e fire. I switched to a stock crab distributor because I was bored (I don’t remember the real reason I decided to try to go stock….probably because any time I had any issue with my engine, everyone blamed the efire…yet the problem has never been the efire) and I see no difference. I’ll put my efire back on when stock starts to give me problems. I kinda secretly think my engine runs better with the efire.
