Anyone had any experience using the kr wilson 2240-n rear axle bearing retainer ring remover? I tightened it down on the ring pretty tight with the chisel like teeth in the jaws and nothing happened.

As I understand it (I haven't used it), the jaws merely grab the retainer ring, it'll sit there forever waiting for you to pull it out. Now, maybe someone that knows what he's talking about can follow up with better info?

Yes, that is it! I think one issue I had is that the teeth were diagonal and not vertical. The teeth pop out so I fixed that. One tooth was pretty badly worn/chipped so I ordered a new 3/8 dowel and will grind it down to fix that.
