Used to be an outfit in California that repro'd brass lights - showed up at the Bakersfield swapmeet.

It would be interesting to know all the manufacturers that made lamps for Ford in the brass era. I know of Edmunds & Jones or E&J. I'm not sure about Autolyte or Solar types but they are brass era. Jno Brown and Victor/Corcoran are known companies in different percentages by observation seen on Fords. It would be neat to know more about this stuff. E&J was right there in Ford's neighborhood so they are likely the most common on Fords.
Brassworks makes lamps but they are very expensive pieces and I'm not sure what pattern they are or what cars used them. Old originals are out there if a person knows what they are looking for. Last edited by rotorwrench; 05-22-2025 at 11:03 AM. |

Unless you are doing a points car or very early, might look into used ones. Even the brass era cars have come down in value.
