Do you have a separate thread on this build? From what limited knowledge I have, these blowers are common and cheap. They are usually considered to be undesirable because of the way the intake is located. It looks like someone has come up with a decent solution.

Inquiring minds want to know more.

Have'nt started a build thread though I was kinda thinking about it


The carb adaptor is available to convert the M90 blower and mount the carbs. So are sealed rear needle roller bearings ( as opposed to OEM non sealed ) to prevent them from being washed out.


Ill be using either V pulleys or a 2" gilmer setup. Either will work but both have their pros and cons.


If I use V pulleys, I'll run my bored SBC 6" balancer and a bolt on, triple V groove pulley, 2 belts for the blower, 1 belt for the pumps and gen/alt. Will fab a snout coupler to allow for quick and easy upper pulley changes and a bracket to mount an idler/tensioner pulley for the belts.


Shoud'nt be too difficult, all part of the fun !

Very neat. I may have missed it, but tell us a little more about the intake you made for it.

I got my '28 AV8 out of winter storage and ready to roll. Last time I ran it was during TROG in Oct. '24.

At TROG, I treated it like an abused dog all weekend. Many hard full throttle 2nd gear launch starts and general shenanigans on the street at night.

Turned on the gas, pumped the pedal a few times and it fired right off. It's still running strong and terrorizing the neighborhood. LOL!

Sad day! Drove the 37 Santback onto a transporter, going to a new home. This was best car I ever had or will have: pro-built streetrod, Motor City Flathead, Tremec T5, etc. Sold due to advancing age and losses in the stock market. But it's going to a good home, buyer has V8 Rouge class background, he will baby it. But still, a sad day for me.

Cleaned Parts
Switched parts to new(?) transmission
Found a set of gaskets for the transmission
Only have to make two

Transmission is in.Just have to hook up the Torque Tube. And the rest,

Day 9
Transmission is installed. Minor stuff left. Interior stuff and wheels. Should be boiling water by this afternoon. Not to many aches while working but now I am afraid to stop.

Day 10
One month to the day. Transmission in. Car on the ground.No test ride yet.
Why did the minor stuff takes two days instead of a couple of hours. Last time i did this (25 years ago) it only took two days for the whole job. Dont think because of your age that you cant do anything anymore. Took me a lot longer than i thought it wood. But as Clint Eastwood said "At This Age All I have to Do is Force myself to Do It" Well Said.
