Could someone knowledgeable tell me what the heck this is
![]() The inside frame I bought from eBay where it was advertised as "35/36 Coupe Sedan". Now that I've worked all weekend on it to separate the halves (yes, it took me all weekend!) and clean it, I took out for comparison the original frame that came on the car. Not with it but on it. My car's a 36 coupe and that frame fits perfect. It's just very rusty on the inside. The coupe's frame is the bigger one on the outside. What is the smaller one? Evidently not "35/36 Coupe". I don't know if it could be a sedan frame but then it was falsely advertised. |

That looks like a 35-36 ford pickup frame.

A lot of non-Fords used similar style frames. Here is the list of NC industries patterns, it could be any of the mid 1930's coupe, sedan or pickups.

Not 36 pickup. Pickup is actually a little bigger and different shape.

Thanks guys for your insight
![]() Pattern number I don't see anywhere on the frame but at the bottom of the rail where the glass and seal sit there was a stamping which I think reads A.M.CO. Does this give anyone any clues? I'm just hoping to recoup even a fraction of what I lost (it was not cheap) and pass it one to someone, but in order to do so I would need to know what the frame is for. |

Did you ask questions to the seller, like measurements? Maybe its Cabriolet/woody? If so you are in luck. Cabriolet/woody form or shape is different (top is not arched ) and do not open so no hinges.Contact windshieldframes.com they might be able to ID it for you. EBAY vintage Ford parts buyers should be careful. Many sellers are just guessing what they have. There is a seller on the HAMB that has new quality repros once in awhile but they need to be chromed.

Cabriolet windshields do not open, so they do not have a hinge on the frame.

That pic with the hinge is deceiving. IMO it doesn't belong there. In reality the windshield wouldn't open the way the picture shows.

Maybe for an English 35/36 model C Ford which was similar but smaller than a full size 35/36 Ford V8. Regards, Kevin.

Yes, that is what it is. I've come to this conclusion after Brian hinted 35-36 Mopar which it is as it measures roughly 107 x 33 cm.
I bought this off a seller that sells vintage Ford stuff on eBay regularly and this lead me to think that he knows his stuff. Well, obviously this wasn't the case. |
