Your Fire Truck restoration project must be at “Custom 555 Metal Works”.
I see it a week ago , on way back from NC to Upstate NY.
Awesome project you guys have going.
Donny says it was originally purchased by your dept.
He is a Metal Master for sure.
Wish I had a Hood for you.
Dave .

Guessing that you are in Sellersville PA? Looked at the Sellersville FD web site and saw several pictures of the early stages of a 38 fire truck (pumper) restoration. What else can you tell us about the maker? Truck looks pretty straight and a great starting point. What could possibly be wrong with that grill? Looks better than 99.9% of whatever else you could find for lots of money. Bottom looks like a small puck that could be easily fixed. Outside of a NOS looks great especially the three piece center trim that is almost impossible to find.

Keep us updated on progress, would love to see finished product. ML

Here are pictures of the fire truck restoration.
Agree with Mike , that is a very nice Grill you guys already have.
It is so cool that your dept is able to get back the original truck to your dept.
And have this great project under way.

Attached are the photos of the grille, yes it can be repaired. It’s only time and money

We bought a second grille, however it’s worse than ours and different. The cross bars on ours are a slight triangle shape and the replacement is a half round.
