Here's the in car video of my back up run Monday morning after fixing the ignition issues. Running to mile four speed 214.671. To give you an idea of what's about to happen here's the speeds at the mile markers during the run. When you see the orange light come on I'm in fifth gear.
Mile two 182.730 At the two and a quarter marker 199.781 At mile three 205.114 At mile four 214.671 Slowing down mile five 156.138 Density altitude on this run was 6664 feet. Sit back and enjoy the ride I know I did. Oh yea turn up the volume and listen to this stock block flathead sing a song of speed as the car leaves the line under its own power no push needed. I've been to the salt flats about 10 times years ago when things were a bit more low key, very few spectators. It was big fun, early 80's thru about 95 or so. I think its really cool that you can start yourself off the line, and even move around to the return road without a push car. The record is icing on the cake for your efforts, congrats!
