Well, it has been a while since I posted an update. Progress has been slowed by work and work related travel. (its the darn paycheck thing!)
Anyway, all of the parts are now home and painted. We started installing the fenders this evening and hope to put the cab on tomorrow evening. The roof ended up needing to be replaced as one of the previous owners made the wood himself and did not do a very good job. The doors were not fitted up properly due to the roof dimensions being off. That and all the pieces were straight, not curved as they are supposed to be. I bought a wood kit, which is going to take a bit of effort to fit up, but should be fun. I am finding reassembly to be very slow as every piece you touch either needs to be cleaned, polished, repaired, replaced or painted. I cannot wait until it is done. Belated happy Father's Day to all you Fathers out there. My son and I are having a lot of fun with this project. Bob |

I think you used a spark lever rod to connect to the carb. Carb rod should be straight. The P.U. looks like it'll be a winner.

Jim,
I looked back at my old pictures and that is the same carb rod I took off. Upon closer look, it is bent kind of funny. I also looked at other photo's of engines and see what you mean about it being straight. I'll have to get a new one. Thanks!! |
