....or this French company, ADDA, made an entire series of different trailers specifically for the Ford Model A....like the Roadster pulling one of their enclosed trailers:
That is an excerpt from the original era ADDA flier. Brad in Maryland |

Digging deep in my archives, I think this might be what you are actually looking for......an original era Kraftfahrzeugbrief (voided) for a 1930 Ford "Personenwagen" (see block 1) (note the engine number, in block 3, starts with "A...." so it must be a passenger car, unless that prefix is not correct) and with block 12 indicating "Ist Anhängevorrichtung vorhanden? - Ja":
![]() From the notes later on in the Kfz-Brief (and the corrections and hand written changes), it seems like this vehicle started out as a passenger car and in January 1938 was maybe converted to a LKW and in January 1945 was coverted to a "Generatorgas Antrieb". mFG aus den USA, Brad Last edited by Brad in Germany; 09-08-2022 at 12:39 AM. |

Hello Brad,
If you're the Brad I've heard so much about, then we have a friend in common and I hope you got back to America safely. Thanks for the documentation, it helps me a lot. A car letter would of course be great. Unfortunately the attachment is not visible. Could you maybe send me the ADDA Prospect in a better quality? It is very difficult to read. From the weight of the trailer you could perhaps derive the towing weight. I'll send you a PM with my email address. Thanks greetings from cologne Sascha //Edit Unfortunately I can't send a PM yet //Edit off Last edited by Nick-Night; 09-08-2022 at 01:30 AM. |

I give up, yesterday I was at the TÜV with the documents from here. They need a data sheet from FORD where the trailer load is entered. Alternatively, this would have to be calculated by an engineer, which would be far too expensive. I was given the tip to contact a professor at the university to see if that could be a task for his students. But the whole thing blows the ramen for the benefit it brings. I want to thank you again for your help.
