Thank you , haven't posted here much , more on the hamb , I drove my 40 sedan over 2100 miles last Sept. from Md. to Springfield Mo. and back only one hicup with carbs the whole trip . Still starts fine but loaded up some after warm up just last week . Had some questions , suggestions on repair ,these carbs were on my 40 when I bought it over 4 yrs ago . Thank you , will check out the person you recommend . Big mac48

Thank you , thought someone on here might have had experience in rebuilding , adjusting the super 9 big 7 carbs that came on my 40 . We're on my 40 when I bought it over 4 yrs ago and by " the Grace of God " got me down and back on my 6 day 2100 mile round trip last Sept Md. To Mo. and back .

For the price of those new 94's that Vanpelts sells ($495), you can buy two complete and rebuildable used 94's and make then look and run like new.

If anyone is interested, one of our members has taken the plunge and purchased one of the imported 94's for what seems to be a very reasonable price. He seems to be quite satisfied with it. Check out this thread, especially post # 18 : https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=341534.
Unfortunately Ron, I don't believe that has happened yet. |
