Got up to +30F today but the old flathead was a little reluctant to start. Carb had drained as usual since I last drove it in November. A little priming with chain saw mix got it to fire up and keep running though. I got to try out the active track on the new drone and it followed along shooting video as I drove. Turned out well. https://youtu.be/NF6OlnCP_1I

That was a nice relaxing thing to watch while having breakfast. Excellent drone work too. Thanks Ralph.

Mart, the drone can pretty well fly itself as long as I figure out the right buttons to push. How technology has advanced since the day my dad bought the Merc in 1959.

I got caught in about 2" of snow in my Deuce roadster and I will never drive it in snow again. Zero traction and it took me about an hour to go about five miles to my house. We just got 17" yesterday with 50 mph wind at 24 degrees, it sucks.

Thanks Bill. That is a freeze frame from the drone video. The Merc is not great in snow but it can get by with a little skillful driving. Big advantage I have here is no other traffic to get in my way.

Thanks Mark. Glad I seized the day. We dropped into the "polar vortex" yesterday and will be there awhile according to the forecast. So the Merc will be resting indoors for a while.
