Just for info the original bumpers are spring steel and the repos are not. I would spend the money to rechrome the originals.

First the disclaimer, I have nowhere near the knowledge of most on this forum. I did however measure what I consider a 41 deluxe rear bumper (Ford script) and it compares exactly to your 4 1/2, 20 1/4 and 23 1/2 inch dimensions. I also measured what I consider a 41 super deluxe rear bumper (Ford script) and it measures the same, both these bumpers measure 62 inches tip to tip.
I also have a Drake reproduction 41 Ford script bumper which also measures the same. In his catalogue he mentions that back in the day (before my time) it was a popular swap to put a 41 script bumper on a 40. |
