USA 1932's, meanwhile, had four wheel braking on the parking brake handle...it worked the whole system just like the foot pedal, with only the brakelight switch not active.
OK, had a query from a good friend here about this post.

I said no, that could not be that ford went back to the same as early 28 system, when I thought it was outlawed initially by the US govt, as they wanted a separate service/emergency brake system all the way back.

Did ford, in fact, slip this old design back in , in '32, and how did they get away with it?

Was it just a threat by the govt. in 28 or was it legislation ?

I would assume the laws changed...probably a messy process, since these are 48 sets of state laws in the US! Note that essentially all drum brake cars since that period use their normal service brake parts hooked up by cable for the parking brake...we've only gotten separate systems again recently because disc brakes don't work well as parking brakes.
I think the laws dated to an earlier generation of brakes, when big cars had both internal and external bands on 2 wheel drums and Model T's stopped entirely by paranormal means...

Not quite following... I thought the gist of what was being talked about was a 32-34 with the emergency brake pulling on the same single cross shaft pulling on all four wheels identical with only a single rod to each rear as on the AR.

The pulling of just the same rear service brake shoes by separate cables or rods is what I call a separate system .
