Default Just saw my old Lincoln

So I cruise Craigslist to see whats out there and I came across my 50 Lincoln I sold a few years ago. I was a little sad because it was a completely original stock car and this person chopped the top. Actually they are in the middle of the chop. I guess they did a pretty nice job on the chop.

I feel your pain. I sold a mostly restored '57 Chevy pickup to a guy who went 4X4 and 383 stroker. I've seen all of the discarded parts floating around on my local craigslist.

Yep, completely stock. 337 Flatty with the 4 speed Hydramatic. Ran super smooth.

The C-List add has no photos of the most difficult part of the chop. Not one pic of the back leads me to believe that they didn't get it right.

I just looked at it again and they posted more pictures. It makes me sad to see what has become of it. It had the original stock interior. The headliner was in really good condition, no sagging or tears. The door panels were pretty nice. And the way they did the back window does not look good for some reason. Maybe it just needs paint.

Sometimes it's better to just not see it.

A little finishing, a little paint and drop it. Would make the late
George Barris proud.

Maybe it's like seeing the girl that got away again. Maybe best not to.

41Joe, why are you complaining? Even your own avitar shows a customized 41 Ford, chopped, dropped, with skirts.
