What is YOUR Favorite "A" Ford?
I Remember the day when I was about 3-4 that thing out in the garage started to look bigger and was blue. When my dad set the tudor body on the frame, I realized it may actually be some sort of car. It was then trailered to my grandfathers house where the engine had been overhauled. By the afternoon, we were getting rides up and down the road sitting on the subframe rails! I remember my mother resting her feet on the axle housing. She was cool back then!
My father has since passed on and my older brother decided the car was his, and took it to Ohio. But the '30 Tudor will always hold a very dear memory with this guy. So, what is your story behind your favorite "A"?

Re: What if YOUR Favorite "A" Ford?
My favorite model A was always the first generation ones. I remember as a young kid growing up on 18th street in Detroit, one of the neighbors down the street had one in his "garage", his garage was just like ours, not really a garage but rather a small carriage shed with horse stalls and a feed loft. Once the carriage and horse were gone they just started parking cars in them. He was still driving his model T in '39 and the car in his garage had belonged to his father. He never cared when I and the other neighborhood kids would ask to play in his old car. I still remember when they hauled it out of his garage for a scarp drive, it was not treated very kind. I have photos of me around here somewhere of me sitting in it, I will have to try and find them. Obviously not the car pictured below, but that is what it was:
I had always wanted a 1931 Sport Coupe and had a chance to buy one in '46 but my father wouldn't let me, because it was just 15 year old used car at the time. I have had model A's over the years, never a '31 Sport Coupe and never a first generation, always a model A, version 2.0. The current one is the mid-1928 Fordor Leatherback, wrong color top and wrong plate, I know.

IDIOT HERE,
I've tried everything I know, (which is not much!) and can't re-size my pics in my computer so I can send "Minerva's" pic. I'm running Windows XP and NOT an Apple computer. HELP!--Pathetic Bill W.

Re: What if YOUR Favorite "A" Ford?
Bill,
You can resize images using XP with several pieces of software. First to use is Microsoft Paint. Second, If you have Microsoft Office Picture Manager which comes if you have Microsoft Office is also easy to use. Third. You can download Googles Picassa picture software and it will also resize images for you. You can actually open www.google.com and type in the search box, " how to resize and image with Microsoft Paint" and it will show you step by step how to do so.

My favorite one is the first pic after I made it into the second pic, a 140 mph hot rod.

Re: What if YOUR Favorite "A" Ford?
This is my favorite car: my 1930 Town Sedan. Was given to me from my grandpa. This was taken on the Texas Tour last year. It was the first Model A trip without my grandparents.

Re: What if YOUR Favorite "A" Ford?
I enjoy seeing all these photos. I suspect that many of us acquire our favourite body style for the first one.
While I like most of the Model A body styles, it was the styling of a 30/31 Dlx Roadster for me. I recall joining the local club before purchasing, and some of the ol' timers said I was nuts for wanting an open car. But never being one of a "practical" nature, I still went for the convertible. No regrets. Love the open air while driving. Granted, things can be a bit messy when raining, but it's amazing how effective windwings are. Of course the rubber seal of the windshield is not the greatest, but the rain comes in mostly on the passenger side. I make certain that I provide my wife with a couple of towels, being the considerate husband I am.
