Default windshield wiper

My car is a 1934 cabriolet. It has the original vacuum style windshield wiper that does not work. I'm thinking about installing a hand operated type wiper since I almost never drive in the rain and rainx does a pretty good job. Have any of you done this and if you have do you have suggestions.
Thanks

The Cabriolet wiper motor is kind of special and I would encourage you to have it rebuilt by "Clean Sweep"

Great advice! I used her (Melissa) services a few months ago and was 100% thrilled.

When I was a youngster with one of my early cars, the wipers quit working, so I tied two pieces of strings onto a wiper arm and threaded the ends of the strings into the cab thru the vent windows. My passenger would pull his string when needed and I would pull the wipers back with my string. It worked if my passenger wasn't being a 'pain in the ***'.
