They are not a Lyons cover. I have never seen these before.

They are similar to the wheel covers that were on the front of "Skip It"...



and these two other cars...





The last set look the closest...but it looks like I can see a V8 in the front hubcap, so these may have used Ford caps in the center...

Cool find. Hope you find some more info.

Those are a little known government issued hub caps-due to popularity of Fords the government issued those for protection from alien mind reading rays. They were to be place on the top of the drivers and occupents head in case of alien rays- this was prior to wide availabilty of tin foil which has replaced these hub caps for mind protection-LOL.
