Default Light Switch - Number of Positions

I have been having issues trying to install the light switch assembly. I am not sure of the number of positions the switch should have. I have a 1930 Pickup with a two light headlight.

Thanks

Bob

4 positions, OFF, Hi, Low, Park. Off is straight down at 6 o'clock.

But, Bob has a 1930 with TWOLITE headlamps. They have 4 positions.

My fluted headlights have only 3 positions.

Tom

I bought a light switch from Snyders that says is for years 28 thru 31 but it seems to only have three positions. The switch assembly is defective and I need to return it because the switching component inside the switch was not staked properly and will not remain in place during switching operations.
The question I now have is " Is it possible I need to get a different switch?" (4 positions)

Thanks

Bob

As far as I know no one makes the correct 3 position switch for the fluted lights, so the only switch available should be the 4 position one that you need.

You could also try Bert's for an original switch. They work and fit the best.
