Is anyone familiar with this antique air compressor. I looked it over last year on my way to the Iola swap meet, but passed on it for $40 as it needed some work and appeared to be missing some parts. Is it supposed to have a cast iron cover?

Also, seeing the pressure gauge max out at 50 lbs makes me also wonder as most of the high-pressure clincher tires/tubes during that era up through the mid-teens all used a minimum of 50 lbs. You would think it should be more in-line with 75 lbs. It is a cool piece of automobilia, and my guess is it will 'jarr the ground' with all the automotive-styled man caves out there begging for something like this to be restored and displayed in a corner! ![]() . |
