I have a '39 Zephyr Coupe which now has around 100 mi on it after about a 13 yr build. I've noticed with dropped axel the steering rod slightly rubs the v12 pan. I don't want to lower steering arms and I've wanted to try some tie rod ends that have a lower by 1/2 inch or so 11/16x18 thread and same taper. I have seen some on line like the 60s Thunderbirds but can't find a sales assistant who could help with the dimensions. Does anyone know of tie rods that may work for my application.
