Default MAFCA Driving Award

I just saw the photo of the guys from Washington state driving to the convention in New Mexico that made it all the way to northern California before finding out the convention had been cancelled. I too, just returned home from my trip from California to Show Low Arizona driving 2075 miles round trip. I suggest a new MAFCA driving award..... longest mileage driven without attending the convention! Who else....?

Santa Clara Valley Chapter has 6 families with their Model A's doing a "Albuquerque hub tour" after they found out that the meet was canceled. They are have in good time and post on Facebook every evening. 5 are driving Model As and one is trailering.

OK guys let’s hear some great if not disappointing stories! I was packed and ready to leave in the morning, and then it’s was announced the meet was cancelled. Disappointed, but very sad for those who lost everything. Ok, who travelled the farthest?

I saw the photo on the Model A Club website but, curiously, it is not there anymore...?

How does this even happen close to the meet date?

It would have been a LOT worse if the fires started the same day as the meet. Can you imagine receiving immediate "leave everything behind" evacuation orders and being in a mass-exodus traffic jam in your Model A?
