Default Transmission Oil

When adding oil to the transmission, do you just keep filling it until it's full and starts coming out?

I'm not draining completely, just adding to it to make sure it's topped off.

Assuming you meant till it just starts coming out of the filler hole on the side, yes, that's about right.
