Default 1930 pickup rear fender wood spacer?

Getting ready to install rear fenders on a 30 closed cab pickup. The metal spacers are on the bed but I seem to recall there was a wood block about 3/4” thick 6” long and about 2 “ tall between the fender and the bed as well?

Is this right? or am I wrong? If there should be a block does anybody have the measurements that they can share.

The bed side panels were replaced and I think I may need to drill a hole to mount it? A picture may also be helpful.

I have looked through the Berts and Snyders catalogs but have not found any.

Thanks folks.

There is no wood between the fenders and the bed on those trucks. But,somebody may have put something in to make different fenders fit or something like that.Lots of things were done years ago to get by.

This is a photo of the rear one. You can barely see it under the bed above the license plate.
Just get a nice piece of Oak and make what you need. There is one on each side, and two larger ones at the front of the bed area. The photo is a 30' Roadster pick up.

Apples and oranges?
There is a block under the bed as a body block.
You state “between the fender and the body”….I’ve never encountered that and I’ve done several trucks. There is a mounting flange for the fender but it’s all metal.
I may be misconstruing your writing.

There should be a small block at the back end of the left bed subrail to mount the tail light bracket too.
