Default 36 bed mounting

How is the bed mounted to the frame on a 36 pickup? The subrails are angled on each side. Does that angle match the shape of the frame or is there a wedge piece goes there? I have the two wood blocks for the back. My frame is at the sandblaster so I dont have it to reference. Art

Looking at pictures of my frame ir looks like the angles follow the kick up at the rear wheel. Art

Look at your frame, there should be a wedge inside the frame, under the bolt hole, for the nut to come against squarely.

I have two frames and don't see a wedge on either one. One frame has had plates welded on it and the other is a 37 passenger car frame. Can someone post a picture of the wedges and where would I obtain the wedges? Thanks, Art

The wedges that are being talked about are really large tappered washers that are used to allow the nut and bolt to be vertical where the frame angles up over the rear axle. I have never seen them welded onto the frame.

They are affixed to the frame, call it welded or whatever you wish.
