Default Front seat measurements and allot of questions.

I am working on the ruins of a front seat. 1931 5 window coupe. There is not much left of the old wood. I have the tools to make my own wood but lack the stencil/ dimensions. This will be a daily driver.

1) Would someone send me a paper cutout of the all the wood dimentions in and under the seat? Maybe there is a book or website, out there that has what I am looking for?

2) It looks as if the two springs attach to the wood. Is there another piece of wood that is under the seat (total 3 frames of wood)?

3) When the seat cover is on...is it stapled/ fixed over the wood. So the wood does not show?

4) Does any of the metal show when the seat is totally assembled with seat covers?
I know I could buy this all new but I am trying to save a little money. With new springs, and upholstery It starts to get pricey!

George -- I'm doing some interior work on my '31 5-window coupe, so the seats are out and on the shop floor. I'd be happy to shoot some photos and email them to you. However, the seat has evidently been worked on in the past. It now has black vinyl upholstery, to be replaced, so I don't know how true to original it is. But, I imagine that the woodwork is original. Just let me know.

John, that would be a good start. A picture is worth a thousand words.

All of my body wood is already made or is in good condition. I just need plans for the seat wood which was all rotted away.
