I often use my pickup at the cottage to carry soil, sod etcetera. I understand it is a quarter ton pickup. Does that mean absolute maximum 500 pounds of cargo? A friend says it does not make sense as he has seen Three 200 pound men in the back of a pickup. Your opinions please! Wayne

Someone showed a pic of an original tare and gross weight sticker a while ago, and it was way more than 1/4 ton.

they sure ride allot better if you put about 200-250 lbs in the bed. One of my friends has 2 sacks made out of cream water proof canvas $ signs on them . Makes the ride smoother and looks pretty cool. have fun modelAtony tony white Lafayette, LA

The front tyres generally shouldn't be more than 2" off the ground.

When I had my roadster I found that it rode rough unless I put two adults in the rumble.

My huckster was a 1929 CCPU in it's prior life. But now in the huckster I carry around 4 or 5 grand kids and a couple of adults in parades. Must be a ways over 500 lbs and have not had any problems.
