It’s Almost Time for Lunch – Granville Street, Vancouver, B.C., 1934: A damp and dreary November 5th did not seem to deter these Vancouverites from running their morning errands. Our source says we’re looking north along the west side of Granville toward the Canadian National Railroad freight office. See three enlargements of this photo and many more on The Old Motor.

Very cool shot! What Make is the closest car? - looks like a Cabriolet but I don't think its ford.

I'm amazed by how close those cars are parked together. They didn't have power steering. Must have just pushed the other cars to make space to get out.

I like the antiques store on the right side of the picture. I could imagine what cool antiques would be sold in 1934!

I agree, it has a strong resemblance to my friend's 29 Stutz coupe.

If each of these cars had memory devices, what stories could they tell. Perhaps it is a good thing that only a small percentage survived the century, as much as many of us would like to have in our possession certain ones pictured in this street scene of a bygone era.

Talk about BALLON tires, just look at the small wire spoked wheels compared to the fat tires and large car above.

No, this was in referance to the color ad for the Auburn.

That's where the ballon tires really stand out.

The black and white photos above have some interesting points.
