Default Interior colors/materials 36Tudor Standard

My car will be a driver but I'm keeping it mostly stock or close to. Been reading the 35-36 Ford Book. I am seeing that the dash and garnish moldings for an early 36 Standard are painted Benton Gray Metallic color. Has any of you found a rattle can color that is close to the original? I'm wondering if there might be something close to the right color in some of the repair cans available at Auto Zone etc. I think I'd rather use a rattle can than mess with buying paint, using the sprayer, etc.

What are you guys using for floor mats in this model car? It appears that the stock front and rear mats should be rubber, Benton Gray. Where did you get your mats? Are they any good?

Thanks .

Most brands make it, to make things look cast iron. The brand i used was a touch on the light side. so the draker the better id say. plastikote and vht something like that. You can see from this pic, i painted the trim it matches the handles okay for a driver.

Go to a good automotive paint store, they have books that have various shades of grays, blacks, reds, etc. The Benton gray is a metallic ,so look at those samples. They can mix it in a spray can that has a hardener that can be injected into the can. Have all your pieces ready to paint as the hardener only makes the paint good for a couple of hours(so they say). I put mine in the refrigerator after use and I could spray with it the next day. The hardened paint gives you a much nicer job.
