Default Old style 59A Resized rods. Length change?

Hello. I have a question for those familiar with the old practice of resizing the 59A type rods.
Was it normal practice to resize back to the stock size, which must involve some shortening, or are they normally resized on the same length but to an oversize diameter which would require bearings with an oversize OD.
the rods on my Old 59A engine are all different lengths. Was this to be expected? Or does this represent a shoddy job or poor parts used by the rebuilder?

Any insight on the subject welcome.

Mart.

Curious on the difference between the lengths of the longest and the shortest rod?

Shonky, incorrect procedure undertaken by 'rebuilder'...Ford made oversize on the o/d bearings so the rods could be sized bigger to suit, whilst maintaining the correct 7" centre to centre length.

Can anyone tell me the size of the bore on a stock 59A (99) rod?
I'm measuring 2.364"

Edit: I found the info right here:

https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28073

2.3597 / 2.3603

Cheers!

Generally resizing a rod you remove .003 from the caps. There is more variation in stock rods than that.

Are all the pistons the same manufacturer? If not, you could also have different pin heights on the pistons to compound the sin in the rods.
