Cool photos. Did those guys ever change/clean their shop uniforms? A good friend of mine worked in the parts department of Hughson Ford in San Francisco, first Ford Dealer, until it closed in 1979. Bought a lot parts there.

The picture of the dealership in Ellensburg I believe should be Washington instead of Oregon. I don't know of an Ellensburg in Oregon.
As late as the 90's there was a building in Ellensburg WA that still had the Maxwell sign visible.

Love the photos! I spent 30+ years behind a Ford Parts counter selling parts. I've been everything from a Parts driver to a Parts Manager. Although, you don't get as dirty as a mechanic does, you get dirty in the parts room! As a manager, I had to wear a suit and my white shirts were sure dirty at the end of the day. In the beginning, I had to wear white uniform shirts and thank god they gave us extras. If there was dirt to be found, I'd find it! My Mother didn't nickname me "Pigpen" for nothing......
