Default Ford Model A front brake actuator stuck

Hello,

my name is Phil from northern Germany. I'm working on 1931 Model A and actually I do the front brakes.

On the weekend I start to assamble the front brakes. I start on the right side and everything was ok, I thought great, so I start on the left side.

Spindle and king pin in, brake actuator in, everything bolted, actuator works well. Backing plates on, actuator works well, put the operating pin in and the actuator starts to stuck.

I checked everything, because I thought that something doesn't line up. But it looked good.

I'm thinking that the operating pin stucks against the king pin.

Is there something I could set up?

Many thanks in advance.

Phil

Phil, since this is your first post, welcome to Fordbarn!!

Next, go look at this post as it appears there are similar problems between the two front brake systems.

Many thanks Brent.

I seem to have overlooked this.

This could help.

Mechanical brakes are new for me.
