Default 24" Wood Spoke Rims

Hi I'm new to this forum
I've been searching for quite some time now for a supplier of wood spokes for 24"(30" x 3") non-demountable rims. Seems that there isn't anybody selling them for the guy that likes to do things himself. I know there is people out there re-building them but, as I'm one of those that prefer's to do it myself, if it is within my means. This project to me, I should be able to do. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

I've tried almost every combination I could think of. I called Calimer's they don't and don't know of any that do. I was hoping someone would know.

Try this:

Stutzman Wheel
33656 County Rd 12
Baltic, OH 43804
330-897-1391

It's an Amish shop, so if you phone you may have to leave a message. I got excellent spokes from them when I made a couple of wheels, and the price was nice.

Perhaps Dale Anderson of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is still making wheels for a variety of vintage automobiles. He also makes nice propellers for air driven boats that are used to harvest wild rice. Prince Albert years ago had a very devout Model T club (in part due to his uncle Ralph's ability to rebuild anything on a Model T) and maybe still is a strong and viable club. Have not heard anything about the club in recent times.
Try these phone #s for Dale, 306 763 4049 or 306 763 4247.

If you are talking about the wood fellowed wheel, chances are by time you need spokes the fellow is in need of replacing also. Making your spokes is not an easy job as they are oval shaped and each spoke takes two or three operations on the lathe to get the oval. After watching The Woodwright show I got an idea how they are made and does take extra layout and cutting.
i should add that the round spokes used in the metal fellow have the advantage of standard diameter center to rim that the wood fellow does not have. Could be part of the reason no one makes just the spokes for them.
