Now, lets be charitable here and try to put this all in perspective - perhaps the former owner had brothel in Nevada.....

Now, how many of you have said it is his car, he can do what he wants to it. This is the sad tuth. If you do not keep it close to original, paint, interior etc, you may have to take a hit later if you need to sell it. I would look at his car and figure I have to spend $3,000.00 on it after I get it to redo the interior.

It matches the paint pretty well. Not up to the judging standards book, but nicely done. I would rather have that then a vinyl job of the 50's or cartouch job. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

that interior makes my eyes hurt.

another "restoration" by someone who was either completely unaware of the Judging Standards and Restoration Guidelines or knew of them and was not inclined to follow.

the most surprising thing in the photos is the presence of engine pans. most cars "restored" in this manner do not have any installed.....

Needs a wobbly something in the back window and hanging dice on the rear-view mirror. perhaps the fabric could be spray-dyed? Different strokes for different folks.

Are you sure it's not a form of "anti-theft" protection?
I can see it now, Police are on the lookout for a color blind thief......

What you are all forgetting is that, while it is questionable, it is his car and he can put whatever interior in it HE likes. It is not for you to judge. He spent the money the way he wanted. If he wants to make the interior like that it is his choice. How many of you had leisure suits in the seventies and thought it was the best thing you ever wore? You were proud to pay your own money for those things and you probably did not care that you were wearing more polyester than your mother's couch.

I think in this case, Beauty is in the eyes of the BEERholder!

He must have been a bit tipsy that day.

Good idea on marking the fuel shut off valve though. Always forgetting which way is on and off...
