Default 1931 Gas Tank Conversion...

In the May 1931 issue of the Ford Service Bulletins, Page 560, Ford explained how to replace a A-9002-C cowl tank with an A-9002-E cowl tank...that is putting an Indented Firewall Cowl Tank (A-9002-E) into a car with a Flat Firewall which used the A-9002-C or D cowl tank.

There were some specific parts used in this transformation...does anyone have these parts so I can include them in the 30-31 Gas Tank article which will hopefully be in the Nov/Dec issue of Model A News?

Barb Birt was kind to send me the valve assembly but not the handle.

Thanks.

Pluck

Pluck,
The valve assembly is the same as the one used with the indented firewall. The valve I used in the picture just didn't have the handle on it. I didn't have a complete valve to use in the picture. The two pieces as shown were as removed from the roadster at restoration. Sorry about using this medium to reply but I'm having problems with getting bounces on my email.
