Default Brake lights needed for my 55 Fairlane...

Hello all,
I upgraded my brake master, Im looking for a part that would fit on my line. A T fitting perhaps?...Or is a brake pedal extension needed? Please have a look at my setup...
Thanks
Ted.

Cool Re: Brake lights needed for my 55 Fairlane...

I used a generic brake light switch. Welded one tab to the pedal support assembly to mount the switch and another tab to the pedal itself to trigger the switch. Works great!

I made up a bracket that mounts on the dash/firewall brace and used an aftermarket switch (electrical) on my 54 Ford. I have a write up about it if you are interested. Message me your email and I can send you the info.

If you prefer to use an hydraulic switch, you can get a T fitting at a local auto parts store that will take a standard hydraulic switch.

Based on your picture, you could substitute that coupler on the back line with the T fitting.

Ford used to use pressure activated switches in the '60s, which I've used on '50s cars, using a T fitting coming off the master. It was an easy job, but to be honest, evintho's set-up is much nicer and cleaner.
