I think that a long block is 475 lbs, but others may have more accurate info.

How much of an engine --short block? --block crankshaft, cam --under 200
How is it crated? --this adds weight too complete with flywheel, clutch and head??? with dist, manifolds, carb, water pump??? |

I've lifted a complete short block by myself before, so i would imagine it doesn't weigh more than 200 at most. If i remember correctly, my grandpa told me a long block (head, pan, side cover, and block) weigh about 250 pounds. I might be wrong though.
