Is there a top or bottom to the fuel pump pushrod for a 53 flathead? I see two grooves on one end of the push rod, but other than that the ends look the same? Thanks

The rod is a tube and 2 endpieces pressed into it.
One endpart is longer then the other...the long part goes down.

The end with the groove goes at the top.
