Default 48 coupe- window channel replacement

I pulled the door window garnish off my car today, just to take a look and see what was under there. Don't know why, just curious.
Freeked me out when the old upper window channel stuff started falling out everywhere.
What's disturbing is that I have no clue as to how that window channel gets repaired. Looks to be stapled on or something.
Can anyone explain how to put the new stuff in?
Thanks

they were originally stapled ,some people use tiny screws or rivits to hold them but if not done correctly the glass could get damaged,i myself use 3m super adhesive with good results,i use clothes pins or small clamps to hold in place until the adhesive drys

One car I used the smallest pop rivits ---another car I made staples and put them through original holes-------the small pop rivits could not be seen after I painted the heads black, it was a lot quicker than making the staples

The 3/32 rivits may have to be ordered, most stores don't have them
