I would like to know whether this is acceptable wear. There is some wear on the ball, and also on that thing below the ball (ignore the paint).

Hi Mac,
I have just fixed mine. GOOGLE Tom Endy's SANTA ANITA A's where he describes and explains quite a few issues. As you know there are two balls and a thing at the bottom of the shaft. The top ball holds the spring retainer, the bottom ball wears squire and is easy to fix and the thing at the bottom is just that, a thing. It is not important, but I woulndt cut it of. Tom explains how to fix the ball. Good luck and beware of the spring. Regatds Chris Cape Town |
