Can you identify this part?

Looking for help to identify the part that is between the manifold and the carb. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

There were more then a few inventions that went between the carb and manifold. Some had check valves so as the speed increased the valve would open, some had corrugated veins that made the air twist as it went through breaking up the fuel particles, or ones with rotating fan blades that did the same thing. Others caught the excess fuel that dripped down the manifold. I have seen and done one that had a slightly smaller hole then the carb and manifold, it helps increase the air speed acting like a venture in the later carbs. There are others but these come to mind.

Hi John,
There is also a "carburetor auto lock" device. This was a Yale locking device that with a quarter turn of the key, it totally shut off the gas passage. There is also a devise called a "Mixolock" and "carbon eater" shown in Floyd Clymer's book "Henry's Wonderful Model T" in the accessory section. Also, there is a non-backfire valve shown near the end of the section. Good luck.

If you have a 26-27 Ford, you may be looking at the hot plate for the vaporizer carburetor.

I want to see what's inside! It is some sort of oddball accessory intake manifold with a 1925 - ish Kingston L series carburetor attached. The best place for it will be hanging on your wall.
