To get the torque tube off you need to either remove the engine or pull the rear end. That being said, you can pull the rear end (which I think is easier) leaving the springs attached thus not requiring a spring spreader.

Caution with the rear spring. It is dangerous to pull the rear with the spring attached to the axle. You need a rear spring spreader to safely undo the spring shackles. I like to use large c-clamps to secure the rear spring intact. The frame needs to be on frame supports just infront of the rear running board brace on each side of the frame. I like to remove the differential with a floor jack. you also need to support the front of the torque tube as you pull the rear end out the back of the car. Once the drive shaft clears the ujoint there is no support for the torque tube other than the brake cross shaft.
Suggest you recruit a friend. I chock the front tires. you don't want the car to fall on you.

If it is a minor leak, More of a seep than a leak, try this.Remove the wire.Tighten the bolts. Clean the area of all oil and grease. Clean it some more, Give the area several coats of rostrum paint. Rustoum paint is an oil base. Do not use any other type.

If it is a minor leak at the joint, you can wire brush the joint between the torque tube and the banjo housing. Wire brush until you get to bare metal. You can then run a bead of JB Weld in the joint. Let it dry over night. You can then repaint over the JB Weld. I have seen this method stop minor leaks.

Instead of JB Weld try black silicone caulk. If it doesn't work you can wire brush it off.

You might want to check the oil level in the rear end first. It should only be filled up to the filler hole. You may be getting oil from the trans past the upper seal and over filling the banjo.
