Default easy radiator question / i hope

just purchased bergs rad. car been apart along time now
so ,I am asking install rad in car then shell or put shell on rad
first.

protect between fenders and bottom of shell,, while lining up holes with an awl to prevent scratching fenders.

Would have a hard time bolting it down with shell on.

You got that right. I know because I removed and installed them together 3 times in the past year trying to deal with rust flakes coming out of the old used temporary engine I installed 10 years ago. Luckily I haven't installed the side pans yet, or it would have to be a two man job for sure.

thanks for information/ rad then shell.

also yet have to install aer short block I just picked up in Hershey
so probably have some other questions later.
