a 33 chrysler went for more than 700K

Just like homes of distinction, vehicles of distinction really never loose much value because the uber deep pockets it requires to afford one are never 'hit' by the economy in the way the shallower pockets of most of us A guys are.

Those prices paid for some of those cars were outrageous! All it tells me is that there are people with more money than brains.

TOTALLY Disagree with statement. Give us an example of money that paid vs brains??? Keep in mind if one wants it and can afford it, that does not make them foolish.

I think it was A189 though, so it was quite a rare A.

I bet if some of those prices were figured out by the cost per pound, the American Austins might have been the most expensive cars sold this year!
They are cute, though! Saw a roadster at the Cussler Museum a couple of years ago.
