I'm trying to get my tailight back in the right location. I thought that my 28 Sports coupe was later product then it is and I welded up the holes for the tailight brkt. on the left side. I did a good job and now I can't find the marks for the three holes. Can anyone get me a measurement from the end of the crossmember (Rear Body Rail) to the first top mounting hole. With that I should be able to drill through the weld and find the hole. From there I can mark and find the other two.

My 28 sport coupe measures from the end of the x-member to the first hole 1-3/4" There is a 1-1/2" space between the 2 top holes. Also, from the tire support hole to the hole on the right is 16". Hope this helps.

I am not at the car right now but here's a pic to get you close:
You can open this up and zoom it in, and see the top right hole is very close to the T-bar running the seam of the left quarter. |
